Glendale Comments from the Couch

Welcome to Glendale for the season's first triple crown event.
Get comfortable on the couch and enjoy the comments from the couch as the broadcast goes by.
Opening ceremonies in. Glendale are pretty epic. The Stadium has a capacity of 63000 for Glendale and it looks to be a big crowd in tonight.
For those fans who haven't seen the opening ceremonies. Hunter Lawrence doing the Lightning McQueen parody was pretty funny. I am speed!
Ken with red plates and his son Grif on board rolling out. Must be awesome to be a Dad and still competitive to enable you to share these moments with your kids.
I wonder if Jett picked that house track for his intro?
Let's get into the business side of the night.
So Beaumer just overconfident in an untouched berm goes down. But man did he block up the field. Again poor Jo Shimoda. He must have walked under a ladder or seen a black cat or something after A1. It's gone all sorts of wrong since then.
Beaumer trying to take more attention from Deegan this week. The first 250 in the night show to huck the triple across the start straight. Big Jumps are usually Deegan’s thing.
How about Cole Davies with the first race win! I'm calling him for the 2026 championship. The kid is good. Just needs to stay healthy for 18 months or so!
Just when you think Cooper Webb is on the out. He just shows up. So much talk of him not being good in Glendale this week. First race. He wins.
Did Beaumer find Shimoda’s ladder to walk under? Two holeshots to crash. Not ideal.
Do we have to have the pit boards block half the track? Is it not enough that Shimoda’s fingers got karate chopped by one? Let's block the view of the race line this week. We need to move the mechanic line back!
Deegan must be hating his teammate right now. The roost he is getting in the face each lap because he is jumping off the wall. Whilst Cole Davies is rolling down it. Everyone loves eating roost, right?
Eli Tomac with bad starts equals no beast mode at 32. Well, that was true in race one anyway. Race two, different story. Wow. Did Tomac and Sexton just touch on that on-off?
A race that built so much really went nowhere in the end. First to fourth stayed first to fourth from about half distance in race 2 of the 450’s
See if anyone noticed the whip from Mookie on the opening lap. Damn boy!
Why is there also so much confusion with a red flag for the restart type in the commentary booth? Surely they are getting fed the rules from Clinton Fowler or the AMA? This isnt the first time this has happened guys.
Interesting to see Deegan chatting to a stone-faced Cole Davies prior to the final race for the 250’s. Is Deegan trying to throw the young Kiwi off his game? Will we see pressure crack Davies? Circle back later.
Didn't take long to circle back. Bad start for Cole Davies that lead into a crash. Was that pressure? He will learn from that.
Mosiman might be finding his old form. Rather frisky with Beaumer in race three.
Triumph has arrived. Welcome to the Supercross winner's circle!
That makes four winners in four rounds for the 250 class and man is it tight at the top of the championship. 3 points between the top three as they head into a three-week break.
Ah, was that the end of Jett Lawrence for the 2025 Supercross season? Can anyone say ACL? If it's not his ACL he is one lucky man. This will be this weeks main new i can see it now.
Does anyone else see how much Tomac’s results this season are very much start-dependent? Eli Tomac doesnt seem to have the ability to blow peoples doors off without a good start. As much as he is defying Father Time. Father Time always catches up eventually. Is this stage one of Father time closing in on Eli?
Well, not a fourth winner in the 450’s. But another change of the red plate. Back to the number 4 bike, it goes.
Well, it's time for me to scope out MRI info ready for this week's media updates. Everyone will be awaiting this outcome. It could make the series alot more interesting either way. An 8th tonight will set Jett back in the points making for a season long battle to get to the front. But if he is out with an injury. Then Sexton, Tomac and Webb, maybe even Roczen will all grow a few feet in confidence that this could be their year. Either outcome is great for the fans. Not so great if you ar eJett Lawrence tonight though.
Thanks for joining me on the couch again this week. Time to get off the couch until next Saturday!
