Comments form the Couch
Welcome to Arlington. It's military appreciation round and we thank all who have, and all who continue to serve.

This triple crown racing brings plenty of excitement. But if I'm honest. I'm not a fan. Too much excitement and action that many of the fans and the media cannot recall all the events or separate what happened on which race of the night. But let's dive into it and see where it all ends up.
Let's have a word with Feld. Detroit and now Arlington. So many fireworks in the pre-show that you can barely tell who is who on these opening laps of the first race.
Oh thankfully someone at Honda got the memo. Two handguards on Jo Shimoda’s bike this week. Much better look than the one he was running.
Maybe that helped even out the flow of the bike as it looks good with a hole shot and a few laps led right up til he sampled the sand!
Jordon Smith riding hard on Coty Schock and Haiden Deegan. How's Haiden speed tonight coming from a tip-over to challenge for…. Wait no, win the opening Race. Jordon Smith is down hard in the whoops.
Well, Michael Mosiman finds his first podium in 2025. Can he repeat it for the remaining races?
Big shout out to the surprise fastest Qualifier Justin Hill. Killed that one lap on Arlington.
How frisky is Ken Roczen on the open 2 or 3 laps?
Shout out to Scott Meshy for making the main program tonight. Massive effort for a privateer!
Some what surprised by Justin Cooper in that opening race. Expected him to fade more. But no. Even jumping the whoops he was giving it to Ken right to the end.
I think Deegan’s knobby trimmed Shimoda's hair they were that close after the sand section. Wow, that was scary for a sec.
Julien Beaumer not having his usual starts so far through two races. Making his night seem a bit lacklustre so far.
Haiden Deegan looks to have found a lot of speed in the break. Eating guys up from mid-pack starts. Seems more similar to his outdoor efforts.
As much as I love the military kits and gear. Does make it hard to tell who is who this week. But it's worth it for one week.
Chase Sexton. Tries to take the lead. Makes his own minor mistake and then the man of the moment leads laps. Justin Cooper shuts the door and he goes down.
Jason Anderson and Justin Barcia. Completely on brand!
Let's point out a few things for Cooper Webb after that race two win. One is that Fly has been doing a great job with his kits in 2025. Stylish every round. A much-improved change up compared with his previous years in another brand seemingly always being similar. Two. Everyone always talks about his low lines in corners and shortening up the track. The end of race 2 when Chase Sexton was closing back in. Cooper was mid to high line in every corner. He needed that distance to get a few of the jumps out of the corner and to also find the smoothest line. This Arlington track is falling apart. The point is Cooper Webb can do more than just jump whoops and shorten the track.
These whoops on Arlington. An absolute minefield.
Cole Davies somehow saved that whoops ride. It was looking similar to Jordon Smith for a second there. Thankfully a different outcome.
Ok that replay of Cole Davies throwing it down whilst picking his gate is just youthful stupidity haha.
Fyi I love the finish line being the Supercross Triple. Please make this a permanent thing.
Haiden Deegan making a firm right move as the turn went left just to try and add some spice on it as he passed Julien Beaumer. Not sure it's necessary but sure part of Haiden’s MO.
Cole Davies salvaged an average night with that final race win.
Haiden Deegan with an impressive night. That could be a turning point for this championship. If the West Coast didn't have next week off. The West boys might have been in trouble as Deegan's momentum might be rolling right now. Can he hold onto it with the time off and the Showdowns ahead???
Coty Schock with a career night. His first Supercross podium. Well done. A bunch of consistent rides and laps led tonight. Well earned.
Is anyone wondering where Malcolm's Tampa speed has gone?
How many times has Chase Sexton stalled that KTM??? Always as terrible times too. Gotta keep a finger on that clutch but that's not Chase's technique.
Only Chase Sexton can lose a race like that. He didn't need to do anything. Yet he tried to do everything. He just handed the win and the points lead to Cooper Webb!
Cooper Webb just continuing to get in people's heads.
What a night. As we said at the start. There is too much to process and what happened when. Who knows. But Cooper Webb takes sole possession of the red plate and Haiden Deegan takes it from Juju.
The Best news we have is that Daytona is next week!
Thanks for joining me on the couch again this week. Time to get off the couch until next Saturday!
