Trey Canard is back. And not only is he back, he’s got a great movie that helps tell the story of how he got back from a very serious back injury in early 2012. It also helps show you Trey in a different way than you’ve ever seen before. The movie is called “Trey Canard: REvival 41”.
The movie premiere was last night, at the UltraLuxe Anaheim Cinemas at GardenWalk – right near Disneyland. And it was great!
And here is that movie – courtesy of CytoSport / MuscleMilk. Their description of the movie is: On Jan. 21, 2012, Supercross champion Trey Canard was involved in a devastating, back-breaking crash while racing at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.
REvival 41 is the much-anticipated documentary that follows Canard throughout his recovery process including countless doctors’ appointments, surgeries, physical therapy and an emotional visit to Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., where he will race competitively for the first time on Saturday. Doctors told Canard it would be a year before he would ride again; it took him less than six months to get on a bike.
REvival 41 is the perfect sports story: it chronicles the tale of an athlete’s comeback and attempt to reconcile the tragedy of the past and the pain of the present with an unshakeable belief for the future.
“People say that what you believe in is a fairy tale. But I don’t believe that at all,” said Canard. “I believe that I was put on this earth to ride a motorcycle.”
