The 5th Annual MX Ride for the Cause was once again held at Cahuilla Creek Motocross park in Southern California. It was another great turnout where riders and spectators were treated to a wonderful event which included: a raffle, an FMX show, a male pole dance competition, and the famous Bra Parade, which included the former World MX2 champion, 2-time AMA National Champion and 2-time Supercross lites champion Grant Langston.
Laurie Cary founded “MX Ride for the Cause” to raise money and awareness for breast cancer in a fun and positive atmosphere. She decided to combine her love of motocross with her compassion for women dealing with breast cancer, after her mother passed away in 2001, after a 10 year battle with breast cancer. The money raised from the event goes to “Michelle’s Place,” the local breast cancer resource center that helps newly diagnosed women through the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
