Supercross Champ James Stewart to be featured on ESPN’s E:60 Primetime
ESPN Newsmagazine E:60 Revisits James Stewart
E:60, ESPN’s primetime newsmagazine on hiatus since May, returns Tuesday, July 28, with a return visit with AMA Supercross champion James Stewart, who was featured on the program earlier this year. E:60 airs at 7 p.m. ET.
He is often called the “Tiger Woods” of his sport and is one of the most dominant athletes in competition today. The first African-American in history to win a major motorsports title, Stewart has not only broken numerous records, he has broken barriers as well. With two straight AMA Supercross championships, Stewart now has his sites set on X Games gold as he makes his debut this summer in new events that match his skills.
In an updated profile that aired earlier this year, Stewart talks openly with E:60’s Michael Smith about the racism he has endured at the racetrack. On the track, he wins with a style all his own, and off the track, he hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
