Nelspruit is home to the 2008 FIM World Motocross Series Grand Prix of South Africa.
You’ll see four features listed here.
First, in the video below, a group on people, including ‘hometown’ hero and 2008 MX2 Championship series points leader Tyla Rattray, 2007 MX1 World Motocross Champion Steve Ramon, and 2007 MX2 World Champion Antonio Cairoli went out on Friday, July 18, to not only saw the habitat and wildlife near the race circuit itself, but also went to the Jane Goodall Institue to see first hand the work that is being done here to help rehabilitate abused animals (chimpanzees in this case) and bring them back into their natural surroundings.
Not only was it fun and exciting, it was also humbling to see such beautiful wildlife – hippos, giraffes, gazelles, and the chimpanzees – right up close, and to see the work that the Jane Goodall Institute is doing to help restore chimps back to health and nature.
You’ll need the latest version of QuickTime to watch these movies. You can get it here at this link for free for Mac or PC – http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
