If you like motocross, then this was the event for you. Today's event, not only had great racing, but has to be one of the best and most scenic race circuits in the world. Add in the enthusiasm of the French fans ... and it was truly a memorable day!

Above you'll see the results and points of the day. Tommy Searle won both motos in MX2 and takes over the points lead. Defending World Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli had a tough day, crashing in the first corner with Tyla Rattray, and breaking his gas tank, which led to a DNF in the moto. He came back for third in the second moto behind Searle and Rattray.

In MX1, it was hometown favorite Seb Pourcel also winning both motos. The crowd screamed, used their air horns, and voiced their approval every lap in whatever section of the track Seb was. Josh Coppins had his best ride of the season, finishing second overall. Series points leader David Philippaerts didn't have the best day, finishing 18th overall, but still retains the series points lead.

In the Women's World Motocross Series, KTM Germany's Steffi Laier took her second consecutive win by winning both of her motos. Katherine Prumm finished second overall, and took over the points lead!

Women's Overall Results: Stephanie Laier - Germany - KTM, Katherine Prumm - New Zealand - YAM, Livia Lancelot - France - KAW, Maria Franke - Germany - KAW, Larissa Papenmeier - Germany - SUZ

Women's Point Standings: K. Prumm 122, L. Lancelot 120, A. Fiolek 102, M. Franke 101, S. Laier 100

Over 30,000 spectators were on hand. The track was something riders all over the world dream about ... excellent soil, huge up and down hills, and just a wonderful outdoor motocross circuit.

Below you'll see a few photos from the event, and a quick video of and with the two winners. We'll have much more in a feature article coming later this week.
