WMA OUTDOOR NATIONALS

I’m counting down the days until the WMA Outdoor Nationals kick into high gear at Glen Helen Raceway on May 23, 2009 in San Bernardino, California. Just wanted to remind everyone to head out to watch some awesome women’s motocross racing action!!

WMA Professional Jessica Patterson has been here in Southern California for the past month, putting some serious training time in and is gearing up for a vicious battle for the 1st place podium win against Ashley Fiolek, the racing is going to be intense this year!

LUSK LEGACY FOUNDATION CHARITY GALA

A couple of days ago I attended the 1st Lusk Legacy Foundation Charity Gala at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The event was held in honor of FMX Legend Jeremy Lusk. Brian Deegan and others created this foundation to bring a higher level of safety education to the Freestyle world, as well as to engage in strengthening safety technology and the level of medical care for the riders while they are on tour. Brian Deegan stated, “All riders should know and understand proper medical protocol incase of an accident of a fellow rider during a show, to know the basics of stabilization to ensure proper care, and to help save a life”

The event showcased tons of awesome products for the silent action, while walking the rows of products you could feel the emotion and the memory of Jeremy from the friends and family of Lusk.

I feel as if the event was a total success. I’m sure with media attention and sharing the foundation with the action sports community, the LLF is only going to grow and become a strong force of support in the FMX Community!

XTREMY AWARDS

The Impact Xtremey Awards were started in 2000 by Docy Andrews, President of Impact Video Distributing. She wanted to do something special to honor the tremendous efforts of video producers and athletes who have a passion for extreme sports. Since that time, the Impact Xtremey Awards has grown into a nationwide awards show with hundreds of extreme sports attendees.

This year will be my 3rd year in attendance and my 2nd year as a presenter! The event is so much fun, this year the event on April 28, 2009 at The Shark Club, Santa Ana, CA.
