You have probably seen the logo and the models, but you still find yourself asking, “What is Motocandy? Is it just an MX Barbie-like girl on a decal? Is it clothes? Is it videos? FOR THE LOVE OF McGRATH, WHAT IS IT?!”
I’m Gina, founder and creator of Motocandy. In the past I’ve done several things which have included: shirts, jerseys, decals, posters, and I’ve even featured models. Today, I still have the online store, but we are focusing more on the Motocandy Girl of the Month and the Motocandy blog. When I say “we” I’m talking about Alexis. She is on board helping me with all of the above. If you’ve seen the videos, you’ve seen Alexis and probably won’t be forgetting her anytime soon.
Alexis and I at ‘A Day in the Dirt #13’
Motocandy and Supercross.com are working in collaboration to bring new content to the site. There will be a Motocandy section, where you will get to see who we are and what we do. I’m a Mom of 2 girls ages 8 and 12. Alexis is in school for a degree in Broadcast Journalism and currently rides a CRF 250, but I prefer something with a roll cage.
So what can fans expect to see? We are introducing the “Motocandy Girl of the Month.” Every month girls (18 and over) can submit their photos to become “Motocandy Girl of the Month.” This will be a great opportunity for girls to increase their exposure in the industry.
Along with the “Motocandy Girl of the Month” we are introducing the Motocandy Blog. Our blog will have interviews with industry models, riders (with a strong focus on amateurs), event coverage with a new angle, maybe even some of us Motocandy girls just hi-jacking someone’s desert toy. There’s no saying what we will come up, so you won’t want to miss it – expect the unexpected!
Alexis and I look forward to making new friends, delivering fun, interesting content and bringing something new to the industry. As Alexis would say “That’s a Braaap, see ya soon!”
