More 2009 World Motocross Championship updates: improved pit structure - Photo 1 of 4 In another preview as to what’s coming to the sport of motocross in the FIM World Championship Series, schematics were shown today to Supercross.com about the pit infrastructure improvments for 2009.

In the three images below that you can click on, you’ll notice major improvements in these areas:

1. Motocross has never seen anything like this in its history. The two story pit lane will have team, media, and crew working downstairs only, with live scoring and TV monitors in each section. The top level will facilitate the proper welcome for each team’s special guests, dignitaries, and best seats for VIPs, which will also have monitors with live scoring and television as well.

2. The structure of the overall pit area is new. Attention to detail, including image and exposure, along with functionality. Bike washing areas will be personalized for each team, with their logos and sponsors, which helps elevate the sport’s image and professionality to fans coming to an event for the first time, for TV exposure, and to raise the level to that of top tier professional sports worldwide.

3. The reason Youthstream has invested so many resources in bringing these changes to the sport is because the sport is mature enough now to satisfy bringing in major outside sponsors, and to educate the industry and the sport itself to show where the the sport needs to grow and develop in the future as well to achieve bigger success.
