Spring Creek MX Park
Carmichael wins again, Short goes 1/1
250:RC showed everyone why he is the best motocross racer in the world – he completely dominated. Carmichael leads the point standings by a huge margin. Kevin Windham continues to impress – Kevin came in second with finishes of 2/2. Ernesto Fonseca finished 3rd overall with a pair of 6/3 finishes.
Notes: James Stewart and Chad Reed did not race today. James fell while practicing during the week at Glen Helen suffering a big bruise on his leg. Chad had surgery on his hand to remove some damaged pins. Yamaha says he will be sitting out the rest of the outdoor season, but will be back in time for the U.S. Open.
125: Andrew Short has a lot to be celebrating about. He went 1/1 today, earning the first national win of his career. Mike Alessi was second overall with finishes of 2/3. Josh Grant rode a very smart race today and finished third with 3/4
Notes: The weather today had temperatures hovering around 75 degrees. Lap times averaged 2 minutes 30 seconds.
TV: August 27 – OLN TV – 4pm Eastern Time – Spring Creek MX
Next event: August 21 – Binghampton NY
Chad Reed, Travis Pastrana, Kevin Windham, and Jeremy McGrath Pennants.
