Mammoth Mountain MX, and Le Pismo Dunes Endurance Race info

Published February 3rd, 2004

The 37th annual Mammoth Mountain Motocross is on! The coolest
race in the country is scheduled for June 17th thru the 27th. This is
great news for the many racers, friends, and families who have enjoyed
this event for so many years. There should be an official press release
in the next week or so.

And ….

There is a new race in town. More specifically, a race on the beach!
Yes, it’s the Le Pismo Dunes Endurance Race! Similar to the famous Le
Touquet Beach Race in France, the race at Pismo Beach will have GNCC
style race format and rules. The five mile course will be entirely “in
the dunes” with each race being 2-3 hours long, making it very unique
and challenging.

Located on the central California coast, Pismo Beach is an ideal
setting for such an event. Inspired by Jerome Law, (Jerome suffered a
spinal cord injury racing the Baja 1000 in 2002) the event proceeds
will benefit the Clayton Memorial Foundation (dedicated to helping
injured motorcycle racers) and Spinal Cord Injury Research Advancement.
Race dates are October 23-24, 2004.
