Kawasaki to tap left-handed market?
Although not confirmed, Supercross.com has learned that Kawasaki may attempt to become the first major OEM to offer specific motorcycles for both right-handed and left-handed people.
When contacted, a spokesperson said “Over 15% of the world’s population is left-handed, and it’s time this market be addressed. We’re proud to potentially be the first that we know of to offer specific motorcycles for this part of the population. We hope to have more such offerings in the future as well, including a four-stroke specifically for people over 6′ 6″ (1.9812 meters) tall.”
If released, the new left-handed KX 250 model will be made available to the public on International Left-Handers Day, which is celebrated worldwide. A few famous left handed people in the world include: Presidents Bill Clinton & Ronald Reagan, entertainers Wink Martindale, Jay Leno & David Letterman, musicians Paul McCartney, Kurt Cobain & Jimi Hendrix, actors Tom Cruise & Bruce Willis, and athletes Larry Bird, Barry Bonds, John McEnroe & Richard Simmons.
