JMB (Jean-Michel Bayle) was one of the most talented, smooth, and in the USA, enigmatic riders ever.
He won World Motocross Championships, and then came to the USA. In 1991 he won everything in AMA Motocross: the 250 Supercross Series, the 250 National Series, and the 500 National Series. Something that’s never been done before.
RJ says “Promoters sometimes built up a rivalry of ‘us’ (USA) vs. ‘them’ (foreign riders), and some people also misunderstood JMB because of language barrier, but he was a good guy & a great rider.”
