Jackon Strong joins the Nitro Circus

Jackson ‘Jacko’ Strong will headline the three Brisbane shows of the 2012 Nitro Circus Tour on May 11, 12 and 13 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Strong will bring his acclaimed front-flip to the action sports shows as part of his preparation for X Games and the defence of his Best Trick gold medal. The 20-year-old chose to remain in Australia over a berth in the Glen Helen Red Bull X-Fighters event in the United States.

Strong said he would be using every available day to train for X Games and felt an international competition would take valuable time out of his schedule.

“It’s good to be a part of the Nitro Circus for the Brisbane Shows, it will help me keep the front-flip dialled in and allow me to keep up my training,” said Strong. “I’ve spent months working on a new trick for X Games and its important I get it right. X-Fighters is obviously a great opportunity but my commitment is to defending my X Games gold at the end of June. This is the toughest competition of the year and riders will throw everything at it – I’m prepared and confident I can be a challenger again.”

Strong led an Aussie sweep of the Best Trick podium in Los Angeles last year, landing the first ever front-flip in competition.
