Supercross has become a worldwide phenomenon. From its humble beginnings in 1972, the sport has enjoyed unprecedented growth, making it the second biggest motor sport in the USA, topped only by NASCAR. Supercross.com was recognized by Google as one of the most highly visited motorsports websites in the world and was the recipient of FIM's award for "Best Motocross Website of 2007."
For the 2008 season, Supercross.com has invested heavily in its appearance and technology to represent the sport and its sponsors to the fullest extent. Supercross.com and its advertisers enjoy the top search engine positioning in Google and other major search engines for the term "supercross" and hundreds of other motocross related terms. Supercross.com operates transparently earning its revenue through the sale of online advertising space (see media kit), 8%-10% referral commissions from affiliates such as Stubhub.com, and multimedia projects including video production and web design. Supercross.com was completely redesigned in 2008 and will deliver even more news, statistics, community tools and information on races, riders, teams and industry events than ever before. Supercross.com will also offer self-publishing tools, interactive content rating systems, and social networking features designed to attract the best content in the sport.
