James Stewart: 2008 AMA 450 National Motocross Champion! Ryan Villopoto: 2008 AMA 250 National Motocross Champion! With two rounds to go!

450 Motocross: This day belongs to James Stewart! He won both motos. He's won every moto of the season so far - 20 in a row, so he's still on pace for the 'perfect season' with two rounds remaining (Southwick and Steel City). He also clinched the 2008 AMA 450 National Motocross Championship today! It's the fourth National Championship of his career! (2 125 National Championships, along with last year's Supercross championship, and today's championship).

250 Motocross Lites: Ryan Dungey won the overall today in front of his home crowd with finishes of second and first in the two motos.

But the day was also special to Ryan Villopoto, as his second place overall finish wrapped up for him, and Pro Circuit Kawasaki, their third straight AMA 250 Lites National Motocross Championship! Ryan won the first moto, but fell in the second moto, running outside the top 30 at one point. But Ryan came back to finish second in the moto, and wrap up the championship with two rounds to go! Ryan is expected to move into the 450 class next year for Kawasaki.
