The greatest Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season ever will once again be relived the day following the season finale from Las Vegas Sam Boyd Stadium on Sunday, May 8. CBS Sports and Feld Motor Sports will present the 2011 season in review show at 2:00 p.m. EST, reliving the closest Supercross class title fight of all time in addition to the high-intensity Supercross Lites Regional Championship seasons.
The one-hour TV program will relive the many dramatic and exciting events that has put three riders within reach of the world championship. From controversial incidents to breakthrough victories, the 2011 season has been the site of many moments that will live in supercross infamy for years to come. Viewers will start from square one in Anaheim and recall the moments through the subsequent 16 races that came down to the final lap in Las Vegas the night prior.
Also featured on the show will be rider interviews from the pits and behind-the-scenes footage that will put the finishing touches on what has been dubbed the greatest season of all time. The stellar parity amongst the biggest names in the sport, including defending champion Ryan Dungey, two-time supercross champions Chad Reed and James Stewart, rising star Ryan Villopoto and breakout rookie Trey Canard, is something fans and enthusiasts of the sport will talk about for ages.
All told, CBS Sports will have aired nine hours of Monster Energy Supercross this season, which has enjoyed national-network coverage on CBS Sports since 2006.
