Suzuki test track, lunch, Troy Lee Designs, the garage, 466 miles
Only a moto enthusiast could appreciate it
RJ wasn’t returning my calls or e-mails. Finally, I got ahold of him. He said “I don’t have much going on today, and my day is basically open. Meet me, we can hang out, and talk about business.”
I drove up the 15 to meet Rick at the Suzuki supercross testing track at 8am. I was excited – we could finally get together and get some business stuff done. As I pulled into the facility, I noticed Rick was working with Nick Wey and Brian Gray.

Around 5pm I headed back home. At the end of the day I had logged 466 miles. We didn’t get much real work done, but I did get to be a ‘fly on the wall’ for a few hours.

Troy Lee’s place is still getting organized. As soon as we walked in, RJ noticed the leathers of Kenny Roberts, Mert Lawill, and Gary Nixon. |
