Federation of France & Youthstream annouce Motocross of Nations for 2011 & 2015

St. Jean d’Angely, France: The Federation Francaise de Motocyclisme, and Youthstream Organization announced this morning before the start of the French Motocross Grand Prix a multi year agreement, which includes France hosting the 2011 and 2015 Motocross of Nations.

The FFM President, Jean-Pierre Mougin, and Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo have renewed an original agreement signed in 2003 that will allow for the continued organization of the FIM Motocross World Championship in France until 2015.

The FFM will choose the circuits where the MX1/MX2 events, the Motocross of Nations, the MX3, and the European Championships will be organized. The FFM will manage the interface between Youthstream and the event organizers. The FFM will only suggest FIM approved and homologated circuits which will comply with Youhstream’s requirements. The FFM commits itself to insuring full compliance with the agreement by the circuit organizers.

The FFM and Youthstream today signed the far reaching agreement which allows for the following main race events:

  • 2009 – MX1/MX2 – Grand Prix of Europe
  • 2010 – MX1/MX2 – Possibly two Grand Prix events – French Grand Prix, and The Grand Prix of Europe
  • 2011 – MX1/MX2 – Grand Prix of France, Motocross of Nations
  • 2012 – MX1/MX2 – Possibly two Grand Prix events – French Grand Prix, and The Grand Prix of Europe
  • 2013 – MX1/MX2 – Possibly two Grand Prix events – French Grand Prix, and The Grand Prix of Europe
  • 2014 – MX1/MX2 – Possibly two Grand Prix events – French Grand Prix, and The Grand Prix of Europe
  • 2015 – MX1/MX2 – Grand Prix of France, Motocross of Nations
