Prodigy Kyle Redmond and veteran Mike Brown to feature world-famous FMF logo at Enduro X event this Sunday

FMF Racing (www.fmfracing.com), one of the world’s most popular off-road motocross brands, will head to X Games 17 with a new and improved athlete roster, just in time for one of this year’s most anticipated events.  FMF has joined forces with Kyle Redmond and Mike Brown, who will both compete in the new Enduro X event this Sunday, July 31st, which will transform the Staples Center into an outdoor off-road motocross venue, complete with trees, rocks and other obstacles.

Redmond, a 23-year-old from Lake Hughes, Calif, has become a rising star on the Endurocross race circuit and one of the favorites of the inaugural Enduro X event in Los Angeles.   He was the top-placing American at the world-famous Erzberg Enduro race and finished 5th in the 2010 GEICO Endurocross Championship.  He holds a number of other impressive results from around the world, including a 2nd place at Indy Endurocross, 1st place at Last Dog Standing in San Bernardino, Calif and finishing as one of the top Americans at the 2007 Red Bull Romaniacs in Romania.

Brown, a longtime FMF rider who has been competing in Motocross for the last 26 years, has been a fixture on a number of national motocross circuits.  In 2001, Brown was the 125cc Champion of the AMA Motocross National series, outlasting other stars such as Travis Pastrana and Ricky Carmichael. Most recently, Brown has moved into off-road motocross and was the 2010 KTM Off-Road/WORCS Champion, making him a name to watch at the X Games Enduro X event. His new status on the FMF team will include a fully-branded FMF Racing helmet through 2011 and 2012.

“We’re so glad to have Kyle and Mike on board with the FMF family and competing in X Games this year,” added FMF Marketing Director, Don Emler, Jr.  “Endurocross has long been a popular sport within the motocross community, so it’s nice to see these guys have the chance to show their skills in front of the entire country.”

Both Redmond and Brown will be featured in FMF branding and apparel, starting at this Sunday’s event and continuing through their respective race schedules.  In addition, FMF will be supporting BMX legend Ryan Nyquist with apparel and branding as he competes in BMX Dirt, aiming for a 14th X Games medal.
