Carmichael wins 13th championship, Hepler takes 125′s
250: Ricky Carmichael – Champion again. RC won his 13th AMA National Championship today, He mowed over the competition on his RMZ450, winning both motos, It’s his sixth straight AMA 250 outdoor championship as well.
Kevin Windham rode to second overall with a pair of 2/2 finishes. Ernesto Fonseca 3rd overall with 4/3. David Vuillemin 4th overall with 3/4.
Notes: James Stewart and Kawasaki decided it’s best to sit out the rest of the season to heal up from injuries.
125: Hometown hero Broc Hepler dominated. He went 1/1 for first overall. Mike Alessi had two great starts, and ended up 2nd overall with finishes of 2/2. Ivan Tedesco maintains his big championship points lead with one round remaining. He grabbed 3rd overall with 5/3 finishes. Tedesco leads the points with 402. Alessi is in second with 367, and Andrew Short is third with 336.
