CBS Sports to Showcase 2009 Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open Supercross

Feld Motor Sports announced that CBS Sports will broadcast the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open Sunday, October 17 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. EST, featuring the world’s top supercross racers competing in a one-class one-champion format that awards $100,000 to the overall winner.

CBS Sports will give viewers an inside look at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open Supercross, which was dominated by AMA Supercross Series Champion James Stewart on his number 1 Yamaha YZ 450, and follow the emerging story lines throughout the 90-minute program. Both nights of racing and in-depth features will highlight the broadcast.

“CBS Sports has been our television partner for the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open since 2006, and we are happy to once again showcase this year’s race on national TV” said Dave Prater, director of supercross, Feld Motor Sports.

The Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open made its debut on CBS Sports in 2006 and since then has reached 4.6 million viewers.
