The fans have spoken and they have awarded gold in Moto X Best Whip to Winchester, California’s Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg with 27 percent of the text-in votes.
An excited Stenberg said that he hopes this is just the beginning of a gold-filled weekend.
“I am stoked to get this gold out of the way,” Stenberg said. “I’m looking forward to two more X Games medals this week.”
Three-time-defending gold medalist Todd Potter was awarded the silver with 24 percent of the votes and Australia’s Jarryd McNeil took bronze with 22 percent.
In Moto X Best Whip, riders showcase their ability to throw a 350-pound machine sideways and bring it back with style in a 10-minute jam format. This discipline is 100 percent fan judged, and their best attempt is voted in via test message.
