Benelux is the area known in Europe as Belgium, the Netherlands (Holland) and Luxembourg combined – the hotbed of motocross in Europe.
It was the 58th running of the Motocross des Nations at the Lierop circuit in the Netherlands (Holland). Typical of most tracks in Holland, the circuit is primarily deep sand. The Belgium team (Stefan Everts, Steve Ramon, Kevin Strijbos) were victorious over Dutch and French teams.
