Today it was 5-time World Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli from Italy with the double moto sweep in MX1, as Tony extends his series points lead. In the MX2 class, Tommy Searle from Great Britain and series points leader Jeffrey Herlings from the Netherlands tied on points (47 each), but Tommy scores the Grand Prix victory by his better second moto performance.

Notes – World Championship Motocross has returned to Belgium! Belgium has the richest tradition in producing Motocross World Champions. Historic names and world MX champions such as Joel Robert, Roger De Coster, Stefan Everts, Joel Smets, Gaston Rahier, Georges Jobe, Andre Malherbe, Harry Everts, Eric Geboers, and Steve Ramon.
