Clement Desalle of Belgium wins the MX 1 Grand Prix of Portugal at Aguenda. Tony Cairoli leads MX 1 point standings. Jeffrey Herlings wins in MX2 GP, and leads MX 2 points. Great point battle between Desalle, Paulin, Pourcel as series heads to Belgium next weekend.

Notes – Monster Yamaha MX1 rider from France, Stephen Frossard, had knee surgery earlier in the week, and is out for the season. American Michael Lieb is at least out of this race, with a potential case of Epstein-Barr virus – something that saps energy.
