Tony Cairoli
Tony Cairoli sweeps both motos in Russia for the Red Bull KTM team, and extends his series points lead in MX1. Teammate Jeffrey Herlings does the same in MX2. American Zach Osborne finishes 12th in MX2.
Next Grand Prix – Loket, Czech Republic in two weeks.
From Tony Cairoli and TC222 press, Tony says “In the first moto everything went well, even though I was expecting the ground to be muddier. But the track dried up, and it became slippery and hard. After studying the track and the competitors I attacked and took the lead. In the second race I made a mistake and slipped. I recovered, came back on top, and then maintained my rhythm till the end and the win. I’m happy the way this weekend went, and now I have two weeks to recover from my injury (sprain from last weeks race in Latvia).”
