2011 FIM World Motocross – Round 5 – France – Qualifying

FIM World Motocross Championships – Round 5 in France! German KTM Red Bull Teka rider Ken Roczen leads the MX 2 championship series, and Belgian Rockstar Suzuki rider Clement Desalle leads the MX 1 Championship series. This is the same circuit that will be used for the 2011 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in September. And it is a traditional French MX track – lots of steep hills and climbs! Today’s winners in Qualifying – Ken Roczen in MX2 and Clement Desalle in MX1

Below are photos and results from today’s Qualifying Heats. The day was very, very hot, but then rained for a few hours after today’s races.
The leaders of each series – Ken Roczen and Clement Desalle, won today’s Qualifying Races in France. Top Frenchman in the MX2 class – Gautier Paulin. Top Frenchman in MX1, Steven Frossard finished 11th. Ben Townley 101 made his return to GP racing today as well.
