Nelspruit, South Africa
In MX1, it was Jon Barragan with the overall win, going 3/1. In MX2, it was Tommy Searle with the overall win, hometown favorite Tyla Rattray second, and Nicolas Aubin with his first podium ever with third place.
Tony Cairoli had a tough day – he hurt his knee in the first moto, having to pull off the track. He did try to race the second moto, but pulled out again with the pain – the extent of his injury is not known right now.
It’s a brand new circuit being used in South Africa. The dirt and track are perfectly prepared. It’s sunny, about 75 degrees. One issue since it’s winter-time here in the Southern Hemisphere – it gets dark quite early!
Josh Coppins. together with author & photographer Andy, have come out with a new book.
