2006 AMA Motocross TV Schedule
Published May 18th, 2006
PICKERINGTON, Ohio – The AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF announces brand-new air times for its OLN telecasts in 2006.
With few exceptions, AMA Motocross will be shown at 6 p.m. ET on the
Saturday following the race and AMA Motocross Lites will air on the
following Monday nights at 5 p.m. ET. Two events, Red Bud and Unadilla,
will be seen the following Sunday, one week after the race, due to
scheduling conflicts (full schedule below).
“After a successful 2005 season on OLN, we were able to make big
improvements to this year’s schedule” said John Farris, AMA Pro
Racing’s Vice President of Commercial Development. “With consistent
time slots and shorter turn around times, not only is it going to be
easier for fans to catch the race, but they’ll be that much closer to
the action.”
This marks the second year the series has been carried on OLN. The
network features other best-in-class events like the NHL, the Dakar
Rally and the AFL, and is available in more than 69 million homes. OLN
has also renewed its contract with DISH Network, making AMA Motocross
even more accessible. Fans who do not receive the channel should check
with their local cable operator or satellite provider to inquire about
adding OLN.
The 2006 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship has the potential to be one
of the most memorable in years, with Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael aiming
to win his 10th AMA Motocross title. He’ll face perhaps his toughest
challenge yet in the form of James Stewart of Team Kawasaki.
AMA Motocross is shown in nearly 100 territories around the world,
reaching millions of households in key markets. Erin Bates, Brian
Drebber and David Pingree are slated to provide commentary for each
telecast.
