1st Americans to win Nations to be honored at this Year’s Motocross of Nations in Colorado
The first Americans to win the Trophee and Motocross des Nations, the 1981 Team of Donnie Hansen, Johnny Omara, Chuck Sun and Danny LaPorte, will be honored during this year’s Motocross of Nations at Thunder Valley MX facility in Denver, Colorado.
In addition, the Legends & Heroes Tour will also be honoring the first American Team to be invited to the Motocross of Nations, to include Mark Blackwell, Dick Robbins and Bob Grossi. “This first team dates back to 1970 when Motocross was in its developing stages here in the US” states Alex Moroz, Managing Partner for the Legends & Heroes Tour. “It’s a great honor to have these champions and pioneers of our sports here at this event, while joining us at the Legends & Heroes Tour display at Thunder Valley” adds Moroz.
The display theme for this event will be honoring all the Motocross of Nations past champions with emphasis on the USA Team accomplishments and the American champions. If you are attending this prestigious event this year, stop on by the Legend & Heroes Tour display and say “Hello” to some of our past champions.
